We are waiting for tasting notes from Dr. Lay. So here are Wine maker notes: As are all our red wines the Syrah was Fermented in open top fermentation Bins until -1 to -1.5 Brix. Then pressed and placed in Tanks for 2 months. We transfer into barrels and age two years in new and neutral French and American Oak. We then transfer to tanks, filter to .045 microns (Sterile) and bottle. The flavors of this wine are that of a classic Syrah with good acid balance and nice fruit overtones with a hint of cherry.
